About

Evan earned his PhD in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2022 under the supervision of Wick Haxton. Evan joined N3AS in 2022, spending the first year at UC Berkeley, before heading to Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Before undertaking graduate studies, Evan completed a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Evan’s research is primarily focused on tests of fundamental symmetries in nuclear systems. In particular, Evan is interested in searches for new physics in the form of lepton flavor violating muon-to-electron conversion as well as short-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments. More broadly, Evan is interested in the development of effective theories for nuclear problems, including efforts to connect many-body nuclear physics to quantum chromodynamics through harmonic-oscillator-based effective theory.
